Hardly used (less than 2 hours). Works with any wheel. It's quite different to the G25 shifter, much more solid feel and higher springback force. Comes with USB adapter (which also accepts the Act Labs wheel and pedals).
The FBM is quite a different car to drive than the FOX. The FOX is also arguable the most popular car in LFS at the moment so it won't be going away. I will still most of my LFS time FOXing, but the FBM may become my 2nd choice.
That's quite an old version. You should download the latest patch (X) from www.lfs.net.
I'm assuming you have an S2 licence and your profile hasn't updated for some reason. But if you haven't then do buy it, LFS is a bargain at £24 in my opinion and the money goes straight to the 3 developers, who have done a fantastic job.
Well I posted it as an improvemment suggestion. It would be nice to have something to print to give as a voucher. If you come up with anything good please post it, I'm sure others would use it too.
The is only one version of S2. But there are various patches, the latest of which is patch X. More specifically "0.5X10". On the LFS home screen (where it says Trainint, Multiplayer, Single Player etc) what does it say version does it say at the bottom of the screen?
I'm buying an S2 licence for a Christmas present and was thinking it would be a good idea to have a printable gift voucher to give to the lucky recipient of the S2 licence code! I'm no good at graphics or I'd draw one up. I was thinking of something like the S2 licence card on the lfs.net homepage when you log in (which I'll bodge something together from that for mine, but the resolution is low). A little job for Eric, or someone on the forum with some graphics skills maybe...
It needn't contain the code iteself (although that would be even better), but would just be good to have something physical to give as a gift. And it might just swing another sale or two!!
Slightly off-topic, sorry but I'm buying an S2 licence for a Christmas present too and was wondering if anyone has a template for a kind of gift certificate or racing licence to put in the card? I knocked something up based on the S2 licence you see on the lfs.net homepage, but was just wondering if anyone has done anything a bit smarter? Would just be a bit better that giving a scrap of paper with some letters and numbers on it for Christmas!
LFS is still compatible, I was using it with my MOMO Red until a few weeks ago. Not sure what version of the Logitech Software i was running, but it's the latest one.
I think I've seen my LFS cfg file reset when I've adjusted the settings while the game was running. So make sure the game isn't loaded when you change them. Other than that I'm not sure what's wrong I'm afraid.
Thanks for your comments. I had a play around with it and it seems that the noise is coming from the wheel itself (behind the leather). I guess maybe the wheel is plastic and the components are moving against each other. I guess I'll just have to live with it.
It's a great wheel but the build quality isn't as good as the MOMO Red.
Wow, LFS is full of surprises - a new single seater - fantastic! Can't wait to give it a go around the new Blackwood... excellent work Scawen and Eric!
My G25 sometimes makes a clicking sound, similar to the sound of the paddle shifter microswitches (but it isn’t that). I found that it is caused by pushing with one hand and pulling with the other, which I have a tendency to do sometimes during cornering. It doesn’t cause any problems, but it is quite annoying. It seems to be coming from somewhere on the wheel itself, rather than in the main unit. Anyone had this before and know how to fix it?
Edit: By the way, it was fine when new, the noise started after about a month of use.
£148.81 delivered at the moment, but the prices fluctuate a little and they have had a few free delivery weekends recently, which could save you £7. You can get 3% cashback through quidco.com too if you use that.
I was wanting to do the same thing. Try mates@track. In the free version you can only have 5 mates but it's only 7 euros for the pro version, which is unlimited. It's great for seeing when and where your teammates are online too.
The only thing is you can't copy and paste from the screen output, so you have to use a screen ripper, like SnagIt. But according to the author, you will be able to copy the text directly in the next version.
The other way might be to use a script to get data from LFSW, but I'm not sure how to do that.
Well I haven't tried it with a PCI card parallel port so can't say for sure. I hope so because when I buy a new PC next year I'll need to try it. I think Kada and others may have used one, so that they don't risk damaging the PC if something goes wrong, so I think it would work. Maybe Kada can say for sure?
This sounds like the ideal scenario for me as I'm looking to set up a new racing league next spring, but unfortunately my present pc can't handle large grids, (very old spec now, but was reasonable when I bought it). I hope you do recruit guys to help out as it would be a real shame to lose MoE, especially with the publicity you've got from SRT.
It's a great combo this. Looks like being a really tight race too. I think we have 6 or 7 drivers with PBs all with a second. If you havn't raced in a league before come and have a go!
